VYRTYCH proudly participated in the prestigious project of the University Centre for Recreation, Wellness and Student Life of the Universidad de Lima, which won the ArchDaily Design Award.
For this important architectural masterpiece, designed by the renowned Sasaki company, we supplied our high-end luminaires MAWERICK, AQUA and EUROPA.
Completed in 2022, this project is a key element of the campus in Lima, Peru, and represents the first phase of the university's master plan. With a total area of approximately 16,700 m², the building offers multifunctional spaces for physical activities, dining and academic support. In addition, it includes counselling centres for nutrition, psychological support, physiotherapy and sports training. The large sports hall can accommodate up to 600 people, making it a flexible space for various events.
The design of the building is based on the concept of an open central area - a covered plaza, which allows natural passive ventilation and connectivity of the individual spaces. Outdoor terraces and a floating athletic track overlooking the city of Lima and the campus contribute to the building's exceptional atmosphere.
The project has attracted the attention of the professional community thanks to its innovative design and multifunctionality. Our MAWERICK, AQUA and EUROPA luminaires have contributed to the creation of optimal lighting that meets the high standards of modern architecture and brings functionality and aesthetics to all spaces, from sports venues to social and study areas. This project is an important milestone for us and for the university community in Latin America.
